CEPCIDI through resolution CEPCIDI/RES.185 (CLXXII-O/11) of September 12, 2011 convened the Fifth Meeting of Ministers and Appropriate Authorities of Culture in the framework of CIDI on November 9 and 10, 2011 at the OAS Headquarters in Washington, D.C. an established a Working Group to resume its preparation. 

The CEPCIDI Working Group to Prepare the Fifth Meeting of Ministers and Appropriate Authorities of Culture in the framework of CIDI met during the months of September and October 2011 and included the participation and technical input of the Authorities of the Inter-American Committee on Culture (CIC).  The final report of the Working Group and the recommended documents were presented to CEPCIDI during its 174 regular session held November 4, 2011.
