OAS Assistant Secretary General Receives FUNGLODE Award for Work with Youth

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Albert Ramdin, received an award from the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (FUNGLODE), in the Dominican Republic, for his work with youth in the Americas.

While in the Caribbean country, Ambassador Ramdin took part in the Third Dominican Model Inter-American System (MODOSI 2013), which brought together more than 350 students of institutions of secondary and higher education in the country for a simulation of the scheme of regional institutions the OAS heads in an environment of diplomacy and cooperation.

FUNGLODE is a private non-profit organization with the goal of being "a center of pluralistic thought, rigorous research, academic excellence and creativity, that produces the best policy options for strengthening democracy, respect for human rights, sustainable development, creativity and the modernization of the Dominican Republic."
