Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General Met with Trinidad and Tobago Minister of Labour

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, and the Assistant Secretary General, Albert Ramdin, today welcomed at the headquarters of the hemispheric institution the Minister of Labour and Small and Medium Enterprise Development of Trinidad and Tobago, Errol McLeod, to discuss the most significant aspects of the agenda on social inclusion in the Hemisphere.
During the meeting, also attended by the Permanent Representative of Trinidad and Tobago to the OAS, Ambassador Neil Parsan, and the OAS Executive Secretary for Integral Development, Sherry Tross, officials discussed issues such as competitiveness, education, labor rights, innovation, and energy sustainability, among others. They underscored the importance of continuing to forge initiatives at the hemispheric level that strengthen the labor market in the context of competitiveness and innovation. In this regard, Minister McLeod recalled that next week Trinidad and Tobago will host, with the support of the OAS, the VIII Americas Competitiveness Forum, which central theme is: "The Human Imagination at Work: Driving Competitiveness, Powering Innovation.”
Within the framework of the meeting, Secretary General Insulza reiterated his support to initiatives that promote competitiveness in the countries of the region and confirmed his participation in the hemispheric event next week. He also recalled the importance of promoting public policies that contribute to providing a sound social basis in the fight against inequality, and he alluded to the work the OAS carries out through the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL).
