OAS Secretary General Participated in Emerging Markets Forum

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, took part this past weekend in together with other high level government and business leaders, in the Global Meeting of the Emerging Markets Forum, in Warrenton, Virginia.

Secretary General Insulza formed part of a discussion panel on the subject "Emerging Markets and Global Economic Governance," together with Horst Koehler, Former President of the Federal Republic of Germany; the Ambassador of the United States to the Philippines, Jose Cuisia, Jr.; the former Deputy Chair of the Planning Commission of India, Montek Ahluwalia; and the President of the African Governance Institute, Abdoulie Janneh.

The Emerging Markets Forum is a not-for-profit initiative that brings together high-level government and corporate leaders from around the world to engage in dialogue on the key economic, financial and social issues facing emerging market countries.
