OAS Secretary General Meets with Secretary General of OECD

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today met in Paris with the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Ángel Gurría, with whom he spoke about the effects of the financial crisis on the region and the growth rates that, despite all, are evidenced in most of the countries of the continent. Secretary General Insulza went into detail about the main issues on the Latin American and Caribbean agenda with respect to the political, social and economic spheres, and the two leaders explored possibilities for cooperation on the issues of immigration and the fight against corruption.
