Panama Presents the Columbus Library with Book, “1904-2001 One Hundred Years of Relations between the Republic of Panama and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay”

The Permanent Mission of Panama to the Organization of American States (OAS) today presented the Columbus Library of the hemispheric organization the book, “1904-2001 One Hundred Years of Relations between the Republic of Panama and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay,” written by Juan Pablo Fábrega, an author with roots in both countries.

The ceremony in Washington, DC, was attended by the author; Panama’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations, Álvaro Aleman Healy; the Ambassador of Panama to the White House, Jaime Eduardo Alemán; the Permanent Representative of Panama to the OAS, Guillermo Cochez; the Chair of the OAS Permanent Council and Permanent Representative of El Salvador, Joaquín Maza; the Chair of the Group of Friends of the Columbus Library and Permanent Representative of Costa Rica, José Enrique Castillo; and the Permanent Representative of Uruguay, Ambassador María del Luján Flores.
