Meeting of Inter-American Committee against Terrorism at the OAS to Focus on Cyberterrorism, Cybersecurity and Confidence Building Measures

The Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE) of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold its Sixteenth Regular Session on February 25-26, 2016 at its headquarters in Washington, DC, focused on cyberterrorism, cybersecurity and confidence building measures in cyberspace.

The CICTE annual meeting will bring together high level experts and authorities from the region in the field of combating terrorism; national, international, regional and subregional organizations; and non-governmental organizations to debate these three central themes.

The inaugural ceremony will feature the participation of OAS Secretary General, Luis Almagro; the Chair of CICTE and Permanent Representative of Paraguay to the OAS, Elisa Ruiz Diaz; and the Coordinator for Cyber Issues of the United States Department of State, Christopher Painter.
