OAS Permanent Council receives Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador, Colombia and Guatemala and will hear Report on the General Elections in Antigua and Barbuda

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold three meetings TOMORROW, Friday, April 20, in Simon Bolivar Hall at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC.

At 09:30 EDT (13:30 GMT) there will be a special meeting to receive the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, María Angela Holguín, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador, María Fernanda Espinosa, to present the operations conducted by both governments in their common border area.

Then, at 11:00 EDT (15:00 GMT),  there will be a special meeting to receive the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Sandra Jovel Polanco, who will report on the results of the popular consultation that was held in that country on April 15th.

Finally, at 14:00 EDT (18:00 GMT), there will be a regular meeting to receive from the Permanent Representative of Antigua and Barbuda the “Report of the 2018 General Elections” in his country and to celebrate the “International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims”, among other topics.
