OAS to Host the IV Inter-American Dialogue of High-level Authorities of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

The Organization of American States (OAS) will organize the IV Inter-American Dialogue of High-Level officials of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) on April 16 - 17 at its headquarters in Washington DC, focused on the analysis of public policies to enhance competitiveness, innovation and internationalization of the sector.

Participants will include high-level authorities responsible for the MSME portfolio in general and representatives of institutions with programs aimed at strengthening the capacity of this sector, who will share insights and best practices to identify concrete opportunities for horizontal cooperation.

The dialogue will include welcoming remarks by the OAS Secretary General, José Miguel Insulza and will include presentations by the Director of Public Policy and Competitiveness of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), Michael Penfold; the Director of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Office in Washington, DC, Inés Bustillo; the Manager of the Trade and Integration Sector of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Antoni Estevadeordal; the Minister for Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs of Saint Lucia, Emma Hippolyte; and the OAS Executive Secretary for Integral Development, Sherry Tross, among others.
