MIGUEL ANGEL RODRÍGUEZ TO TAKE OFFICE AS OAS SECRETARY GENERAL

Former Costa Rican President Miguel Angel Rodríguez will officially assume the office of Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) tomorrow.

Several heads of state and foreign ministers will attend the special session of the Permanent Council to be chaired by Nicaraguan Ambassador Carmen Marina Gutiérrez. Rodríguez will head the Organization’s General Secretariat for the next five years.
