OAS Permanent Council to Analyze Situation in Nicaragua

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, July 11, at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) in Simon Bolivar Hall at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C., to considerate the current human rights situation in Nicaragua; activities of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights; and the installation of the Special Monitoring Mechanism for Nicaragua (MESENI) and of the Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI), among other issues.
