Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Organizes Meeting of Experts on Subnational Competitiveness

The Organization of American States (OAS) will organize a meeting of the working group and experts on subnational competitiveness in Montevideo, Uruguay from July 29 to 31.
The event, organized by the OAS in its capacity of Technical Secretariat of the Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC), aims to promote competitiveness in the Hemisphere through the exchange of experiences on subnational competitiveness and the sharing of knowledge on different methodologies in the production of competiveness reports, measures and agendas at the level of provinces, states, subregions, or cities.
Participants will interchange experiences on innovation and subnational competitiveness, indicators and measures, and competitiveness in cities, among other issues.
Participants in the event will include the Minister of Industry of Uruguay, Roberto Kreimerman; the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development of Trinidad and Tobago, Arleen McComie; the Deputy Academic Rector of the Catholic University of Uruguay, Ariel Cuadro; the Principal Executive of Public Policies and Competitiveness at the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF); the Director of the Department of Economic and Social Development of the OAS, Maryse Robert; representatives of the private sector, academics, and experts in the issue, among others.
The event will take place at the Catholic University of Uruguay, from Tuesday July 29 to Thursday, July 31.
