Development Ministers to Discuss Hemispheric Agenda on Climate Action in the Americas

The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Government of The Bahamas will hold on October 3 and 4, the IV Meeting of Ministers and High-Level Authorities for Sustainable Development, under the topic “Climate Action: Building a Hemispheric Agenda to Secure our Future.”

The meeting will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Philip Davis; the Minister of Economic Affairs of The Bahamas, Michael Halkitis; and the Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Luis Almagro.

During the event, Ministers will discuss ways to develop innovative climate actions that prioritize sustainability, resilience and inclusion, priority areas of action for climate mitigation, climate adaptation, disaster risk management, innovative financing, and cooperation and partnerships for implementation of hemispheric plans.
