Experts on Sustainable Development to Meet at OAS

  June 25, 2010

National experts on Sustainable Development from the Hemisphere will gather from June 28 to 29, 2010, at the headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, DC, to prepare for the Second Inter-American Meeting of Ministers and High Level Authorities on Sustainable Development to take place from October 6 to 8, 2010, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

A priority item on the agenda of the meeting is the “Draft Declaration of Santo Domingo for the Sustainable Development of the Americas.”

The meeting also will offer Member States the opportunity to share experiences and identify priority actions related to the Santa Cruz +10 Declaration that was adopted at the First Meeting of Ministers and High Level Authorities on Sustainable Development in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in December 2006.
