OAS Permanent Council to Consider Draft Resolutions on Nicaragua, Guatemala and Haiti

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting , on Wednesday, November 8 at 10:00 EST (15:00 GMT) in the Simon Bolivar room at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C., to consider, among other topics, draft resolutions on:

• “Measures consequent to the denunciation of the Charter of the Organization of American States by the Republic of Nicaragua”

• “Recent developments impacting the Rule of Law and democratic presidential transition in Guatemala”

• “Providing Integrated Humanitarian, Electoral, and Democracy Strengthening, Human Rights Protection, and Integral Development Assistance in Collaboration with the Multinational Security Support Mission and the CARICOM Eminent Persons Group to Haiti”
