Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General Sends Condolences over Passing of Former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) José Miguel Insulza, sent a letter of condolences this week on behalf of the Organization he leads to the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, over the passing of the country´s former Premier and President, Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson.
In the letter, Secretary General Insulza notes that, despite facing many challenges in his service to the people of Trinidad and Tobago, Robinson´s “unswerving leadership, perseverance, faith in democracy and good governance and his commitment to regional integration resulted in a much stronger nation.”
“Internationally,” continued the Secretary General, “I vividly recall Mr. Robinson´s significant contribution in championing the establishment of the International Criminal Court (ICC).” “That the ICC has become an instrument for justice and peace in the world speaks much to the visionary leadership of former Prime Minister Robinson.”
In the letter, the Secretary General expressed “our deepest sorrow on the passing of an outstanding son and statesman of Trinidad and Tobago.” “We mourn with all of Trinidad and Tobago in remembering his many contributions to the country, the hemisphere and the world at large,” he concluded.
