Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Assistant Secretary General inaugurated Inter-American Congress on Tourism

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Albert Ramdin, opened in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the Twenty-First Inter-American Congress of Ministers and High-Level Authorities of Tourism, along with the Vice President of the Republic of Honduras, María Antonieta de Bográn, and the Minister of Tourism, Nelly Jerez.
During the inauguration of the Congress, which has “Geotourism to the benefit of Local Communities” as its central theme, Assistant Secretary General Albert Ramdin said that the enormous effort carried out for the successful organization of the Congress reflects the commitment of Hondurans to the Inter-American System and that of the OAS to Honduras and to the tourism industry. Ambassador Ramdin highlighted the vital importance of tourism to the economies of the Hemisphere, especially to the smaller countries of Central America and the Caribbean, while he called on governments to promote public and private partnerships and to continue investing in tourism competitiveness.
During his visit to Honduras, Assistant Secretary General Ramdin spoke to Vice President María Antonieta de Bográn on the electoral process in Honduras and on the importance of the Inter-American Congress on Tourism.
The OAS high-level official also spoke with representatives of the Honduran private sector, members of the Business Council of Latin America and the Honduran Private Enterprise Council on the opportunities and challenges facing the nations of the Hemisphere.
The Assistant Secretary General also met with the Ministers of Tourism of Barbados, Guyana, and Saint Lucia. With Barbados Tourism Minister, Richard Sealy, Ramdin spoke on the organization of next year’s Tourism Congress in Barbados and offered the support of the OAS to ensure the success of that important event.
