The OAS General Secretariat and the Government of Antioquia signed a Framework Agreement on Cooperation


The OAS General Secretariat and the Government of Antioquia (Colombia) recently signed a framework agreement for the purpose of establishing cooperation mechanisms designed primarily to promote international law, the rights of indigenous peoples and Afro-descendants, and efforts to fight against discrimination, racism and all related forms of intolerance.

Both Parties also considered developing ties aimed at integrating, promoting, and carrying out interdisciplinary academic projects involving exchanges of experiences between researchers and students.

The Department of International Law of the Secretariat for Legal Affairs is the technical area responsible for implementation of the Agreement.
