Our main objective is to promote transparency, access to public information, citizen participation and collaboration between citizenship and governments of the Americas.

The OAS Universal Civil Identity Project of the Americas (PUICA by its Spanish initials) supports Member States in their efforts to eradicate under-registration, in order to ensure recognition of the right to civil identity for all persons in the region.

Electronic government (or e-Government) is the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to government functions and procedures with the purpose of increasing efficiency, transparency and citizen participation.

The Innovation and Modernization in Public Management Area seeks to disseminate, share, and incentivize innovative experiences to better effectiveness of public policies.

The Modernization of Municipal Management aims at supporting municipalities of Member States of the Organization to strengthen their capacity to respond to local demands and thus strengthening democratic governance in the Americas.

Using a versatile platform installed on OAS servers, the Virtual Campus provides students with a dynamic learning environment.



    Advanced Inter-American Program on Policy Innovation and Management - AIPIM 2015
    The AIPIM 2015 is a week-long non-degree executive education program organized by the OAS/DEPM, the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University (MSPP/GU), CAF - Development Bank of Latin America and Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Regional Program for Social Policy in Latin America - SOPLA/KAS (22-26 June 2015 in Washington DC).
