Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General Receives Minister of Defense of Canada

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, and the Canadian Minister of National Defense, Peter MacKay, met today at the headquarters of the hemispheric organization to analyze regional issues and strengthen cooperation in areas of security and defense covered by the OAS.
At the meeting, the Secretary General Insulza summarized the progress made during the recent OAS General Assembly held in Antigua Guatemala, and shared with Minister MacKay the main topics of the hemispheric meeting. He also discussed the potential for cooperation between Canada and other countries of the region on issues such as trade, security, control of trafficking in persons and business promotion.
Minister MacKay, for his part, invited Secretary General Insulza to participate in the Halifax International Security Forum, which will bring together from November 22 to 24, the highest military and academic authorities in the field of security and defense from Canada and the world.
The Canadian Minister is attending the meeting of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) in Washington, DC. During the conversation, the two authorities agreed to highlight the role and relevance of the IADB and the need to move to a more precise definition of its relationship with the OAS.
