Book Talk “Climate Change, Gender and the Americas: A Conversation with Rosa Celorio” at the Columbus Memorial Library

The Columbus Memorial Library and the Inter-American Commission of Women today hosted a book talk on the topic “Climate Change, Gender and the Americas: A Conversation with Rosa Celorio.”

The event included opening remarks by the U.S. Permanent Representative to the OAS, Frank Mora, presentations by the Associate Dean and Distinguished Professorial Lecturer for International Legal Studies at George Washington University Law School, Rosa Celorio; the Senior Policy Advisor for Gender, Climate Change, & Innovation in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Global Women’s Issues, Aubrey Paris; and the Senior Health Advisor in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, Olga Cabello.

The book talked focused on the critical issues of climate change and gender and included discussion of Celorio´s casebook “Women and International Human Rights in Modern Times: A Contemporary Casebook.”
