EOM of the OAS in Panama Visits Voting Centers

The Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) that is observing today's presidential election in Panama, made up of more than 50 observers, visited more than 120 voting centers in all the provinces of the country and two counties.

The Chief of MIssion, Lourdes Flores Nano, visited voting centers in Panama City where she observed electronic voting and also travelled to La Joyita prison where she witnessed voting by prisoners. In her travels she was accompanied by the OAS Secretary for Political Affairs, Kevin Casas-Zamora, the Director of the OAS Department of Electoral Cooperation and Observation (DECO), Geraldo De Icaza, and the Deputy Chief of MIssion, Maria Teresa Mellenkamp.
