OAS Secretary General Attends Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, met with the leaders of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) during the 31st Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government, held July 4 to 7, 2010, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Secretary General Insulza used the opportunity to update the Caribbean leaders on developments in the Hemisphere and to discuss issues of mutual interest to the OAS and the CARICOM, including the latest in Haiti and Honduras. He also used the opportunity to outline the priorities of the Organization, which coincide with those of the CARICOM, for the next several years.
