The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, met today with the Association of Police Attaches of Latin America to the United States (APALA) at headquarters in Washington, D.C.

During the meeting, the head of the hemispheric Organization spoke about the work the OAS is carrying out in multidimensional security throughout its Member States. For their part, APALA’s representatives explained the purpose of their association, as well as their future projects.

APALA is comprised of the police attaches to the White House of Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Mexico and the Dominican Republic, and its Founding Act was signed on April 18, 2012.
