Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Anti-Terrorism Committee to Focus on Preventing Financing for Terrorism

The Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE) of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold its annual meeting this Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7 at OAS headquarters in Washington DC to discuss “Strengthening National Financial Systems through International Cooperation and Information Sharing as a Means to Prevent Terrorism and the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.”
The meeting will focus on combating financing for terrorism by strengthening national and international regulatory frameworks. In addition, the member states are expected to adopt a Declaration on the central theme of the meeting, and approve the CICTE Working Plan for 2017, which includes activities in cybersecurity and critical infrastructure, border controls, terrorism financing and the implementation of UNSCR 1540.
The opening ceremony of the meeting will be open to the press, and will take place on Thursday, April 6 at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) in the Simon Bolivar Hall at OAS headquarters in Washington DC.
