Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Canadian Solicitor General Wayne Easter, CICAD Chairman Rafael Macedo de la Concha, who is Mexico’s Attorney General, and OAS Assistant Secretary General Luigi R. Einaudi are among those scheduled to address the inaugural session, which is open to the press. A news conference will be held at the end of the session, at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 20.
During four days of deliberations, CICAD will examine such issues as cross-border cooperation initiatives, money laundering, community policing, the formation of a Scientific Advisory Committee, and links between CICAD and the Summit of the Americas process.
It will also hear a report on how countries are implementing recommendations from the second evaluation round of the Multilateral Evaluation Mechanism (MEM). The MEM is a tool that uses a set of indicators to measure progress against drugs in the 34 CICAD member countries and the hemisphere as a whole. The session will also consider proposed new MEM indicators on transnational organized crime.
