OAS PERMANENT COUNCIL TO HEAR REPORTS ON HAITI AND NICARAGUA TODAY

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will receive a report today on the OAS Special Mission underway in Nicaragua, as well as the quarterly report on the situation in Haiti.

The reports will be presented by OAS Secretary General Jose Miguel Insulza during a regular session of the Permanent Council at 2:30 p.m. The Secretary General’s Special Envoy to Nicaragua, former Argentine foreign minister Dante Caputo, is also expected to speak to the Council.
