OAS Permanent Council to Receive Preliminary Report of Observation Mission for Judicial Elections in Guatemala and to Recognize Jimmy Carter's Legacy

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, October 2 at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT), in the Simon Bolivar room at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC, to receive the Preliminary report of the Observation Mission of the Organization of American States for the selection of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Courts of Appeals in Guatemala, and to consider the draft resolution “Recognizing the Hemispheric Legacy of Former President Jimmy Carter at the Organization of American States,” among other topics.
