Cooperation Authorities of OAS Member States to Seek Partnerships and Collaboration for post-COVID-19 Recovery

  December 1, 2021

Cooperation authorities from the member states of the Organization of American States (OAS) will take part in the III Meeting of high-Level Authorities on Cooperation, to be held virtually this Thursday, December 2 and Friday, December 3. Participants will seek solutions to respond to the socio-economic crisis ensued from the COVID-19 pandemic and to harness the power of cooperation and solidarity to fuel the region’s recovery.

The event, organized by the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) - the development arm of the OAS - will foster an exchange of solutions and cooperation offers among member states, observer countries, private sector partners, leading academic institutions, international organizations, and other development actors. The dialogue will go beyond policy deliberations to realize concrete cooperation and partnership opportunities.

The meeting’s discussion will define priorities for strengthening cooperation in the OAS, particularly through the IACD, and be the basis for the development of a catalogue of tangible offers of technical cooperation and solutions for ongoing engagement among member states and strategic partners.
