EU and OAS to Discuss Multidimensional Poverty, Inequality and Social Inclusion to Strengthen Cooperation

Representatives of the European Union (EU) and the Organization of American States (OAS) will meet TOMORROW, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2023, at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C. to discuss multidimensional poverty, inequality and social inclusion, with the objective of establishing an agenda of common priorities as a basis for more dynamic cooperation between the two institutions.

In the “Dialogue on Multidimensional Poverty, Intersectional Inequalities and Social Inclusion in the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean,” coordinated by the Department of Social Inclusion of the Secretariat of Access to Rights and Equity of the OAS, Ministers and High Authorities of Social Development of the Americas and the European Union, together with experts on these topics, will exchange experiences, promising practices and lessons learned on the design and implementation of social policies to address multidimensional poverty and intersectional inequalities, promoting social inclusion and justice in the two regions.
