OAS Permanent Council to Receive the President of Paraguay and to Consider the Situation in Haiti

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold two meetings on Wednesday, October 25 in the Simon Bolivar room at OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C.

At 09:00 EDT (13:00 GMT), the Council will hold a protocolary meeting to receive President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña.

Then, at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) the Permanent Council will hold a regular meeting to consider the situation in Haiti, commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration on Security in the Americas and celebrate the International Day of Rural Women, among other topics.

The meetings will be broadcast live - with interpretation in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese- live through the OAS Website, OAS Facebook page and the YouTube page.
