OAS Organizes Dialogue on Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda

The Organization of American States (OAS) will hold next Tuesday, October 21 in Washington DC, the dialogue "Building a Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda for the Americas," a debate that seeks to contribute to the definition of strategic areas of action for the Inter-American Program for Sustainable Development (PIDS) and the development of the Post-2015 Agenda for sustainable development.

The event, organized by the OAS Secretariat for Integral Development, will be moderated by CNN journalist Glenda Umana and will feature presentations by the Chair of the Social Development Committee of the Congress of Honduras, Juan Antonio Hernández; the Senator and President of the Commission of Environment and Natural Resources of the Senate of Mexico, Ninfa Salinas; and the National Ozone officer of the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Energy, Science and Technology of Saint Lucia, Donnalyn Charles. The OAS Assistant Secretary General, Albert Ramdin will make the closing remarks.

The dialogue takes place in the framework of the Fourth Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Sustainable Development which takes place on October 22 and 23 October.
