OAS to Demonstrate Mobile Laboratory for Management of Cyber Crises

The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE), will carry out, this Friday, October 19, at 11:00 EDT (15:00 GMT), a demonstration of its mobile laboratory for the management of cyber crises, at the headquarters of the organization in Washington, DC.

The laboratory, which represents the latest technology in simulation of cyber attacks on countries’ critical infrastructure, will allow for an increase in the number of crisis management exercises that the Member States of the OAS carry out, due to its mobility and capacity to be configured according to the requirements and interests of each country.

Present at the demonstration will be the Secretary General of the OAS, José Miguel Insulza; the Chairman of the World Economic Forum USA, Jean-Pierre Rosso; The Executive Director of the UN Counter- Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (UNCTED), Mike Smith; and the Coordinator for Cyber Issues of the United States Department of State, Chris Painter.
