Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Chief of OAS Electoral Observation Mission Arrives in Dominican Republic

The Chief of the Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the municipal elections in the Dominican Republic, the former President of Chile Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, arrived today in Santo Domingo to lead the work of observation ahead of the elections on Sunday, February 16.
During his stay in the country, the Chief of the Mission will meet with electoral candidates, government representatives, political parties, candidates and civil society representatives.
This will be the seventeenth electoral observation mission that the OAS has deployed in the Dominican Republic. On this occasion, the team, which began its deployment on February 7, is made up of 25 observers and specialists of 12 different nationalities, among them experts in electoral organization and technology, political financing, political participation of women and electoral justice.
Following the elections, the Mission will present a preliminary report with its observations and recommendations to contribute to the strengthening of electoral processes in the Dominican Republic.
