Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS and Ana G. Mendez University System Sign Agreement to Offer 19 Master’s Scholarships in Puerto Rico

The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Ana G. Méndez University System of Puerto Rico today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer 19 scholarships at Master’s degree level in the country in 2015.
The Director of the Department of Human Development, Education, and Employment of the OAS, Marie Levens, who signed on behalf of the hemispheric Organization, highlighted that “the OAS is very proud of having this relationship” with the SUAGM.
“You are contributing to the development of the Americas” through the education of young people, said Director Levens, who emphasized the capacity building role of the scholarships, “because when the students go back to their countries, they have a degree and have broadened their scope.”
For his part, the Executive Vice President of the SUAGM, José Méndez Jr., said the signing of the agreement was “an honor and a great opportunity” for the SUAGM, which includes a total of 44,600 students in four main campuses, and which will open a new center in Dallas, Texas in 2015. International relations, said Méndez, “are very important to the growth and development of the Ana G. Méndez University System.”
The scholarships are for Master’s studies in programs including administration of services, business administration, human resources, accounting, development of virtual businesses, mechanical engineering, and environmental sciences, among others. The scholarships will cover 100% of the enrollment of the students, and classes will be taught at the Universidad Metropolitana, the Universidad del Este, the Universidad de Turabo, the Virtual Campus and the Florida Campus.
The Memorandum of Understanding takes place within the framework of the agreement signed by the OAS and SUAGM on November 18, 2010, relative to human development programs.
Present at the signing ceremony were Abigail Castro and Juliet Phillip of the Department of Human Development, Education, and Employment of the OAS; the Associate Vice President of International Affairs of SUAGM, David Méndez; the Vice President of National and International Affairs of the SUAGM, Luis Zayas; and the Rectors of the SUAGM Universities, among others.
