YABT and MASHAV to Host Training on Entrepreneurship for Young People as a Method to Alleviate Poverty

The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Government of Israel, through its Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) will offer a training course on “Entrepreneurship for Young People: a Method to Alleviate Poverty” at the Golda Meir – Mount Carmel International Training Center in Haifa, Israel from November 28 to December 12, 2010.
The objective of this workshop is to train professionals that will assume the role of facilitators to encourage and prepare young people to achieve economic prosperity, through the creation of micro and small businesses, in coordination with the YABT/OAS Nex Links Young Entrepreneurs Follow-up Networks Program.
YABT and MASHAV will grant partial scholarships to up to 30 young entrepreneurs and professionals between the ages of 28 and 50 who are fluent in Spanish and demonstrate a commitment to entrepreneurship in their communities. Candidates must submit their applications to YABT no later than September 21, 2010.
The scholarship includes the cost of the course, accommodation, health insurance, as well as study tours in Israel. Participants will be responsible for their airfare costs to travel to Israel.
This workshop is possible thanks to the technical cooperation of the State of Israel to YABT, a non-profit organization pioneer in the design and implementation of innovative entrepreneurship programs and the development of startups. YABT works in collaboration with the Organization of American States (OAS).
