Planning Meeting of the Authorities of the XXI Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML)

Objectives:

1. To determine the IACML Work Plan for 2022-2024, that will ensure the implementation of he Declaration and Plan of Action of Buenos Aires, adopted at the XXI IACML.
2. To define responsibilities and financial or in-kind contributions and ensure the coordination among the main actors of the IACML process (Ministries, COSATE, CEATAL and key international organizations).
3. To review the financial situation of the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration
   (RIAL) and decide on the use of contributions received to date.

Previously to the meeting, the Technical Secretariat sent all Member States a questionnaire to ensure that the priorities of all Ministries of Labor were taken into account during the Work Plan negotiations. The answers to this questionnaires were syntethized in the "Inputs for the Planning Meeting" document, available below.

Participants: Ministries of Labor that form the IACML troika (Chair: Argentina, former Chair:
Barbados, future Chair: Colombia), and Ministries elected as Chairs and Vice-chairs of the Working
Groups (Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Panama), Chairs of
COSATE y CEATAL.

The meeting also had the particioation of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), the Secretariat of Summits Process, and the Inter-American Commission of Women.
