The Future of the Open Government
Governance, Innovation and Public Leadership in the 21st Century

This is a joint initiative of the OAS School of Government and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS). Its objective is to analyze the current challenges and future trends regarding the task of rule in uncertain, fragile and fragmented contexts, as well as to strengthen leadership capacities and teach concepts and tools of innovation to participants.

The program is aimed to public officials, political authorities, leaders of social movements, organizations, groups, professionals from the academia and the press, as well as private sector leaders who, from their professional practice, influence the public agenda and its decisions.

During the program, attendees are invited to participate in exercises, group dynamics, games and simulations in order to strengthen soft skills, such as: negotiation, design thinking, scenario building, decision making, strategic communication, open innovation and crisis and change management.

6 editions between 2017 and 2019 have been undertaken in Uruguay, Bolivia, Panama, Peru (2) and Costa Rica. On average, about 50 people have participated in each one, so an estimated total of 300 people have been trained.
