  • Inclusive Policymaking.
  • Inclusive Finance and Women’s Economic Empowerment.
  • Fostering Mentorship for Women by Women.
  • Women as Change Agents.
  • Leading Transformational Change from the Ground to the World Stage.

Anita Bathia, UN Women representative, remarked that the Beijing Platform called for achieving gender equality in 25 years: “The deadline is close, but no country in the world has achieved it. When we look at how many countries have ministerial cabinets with equal representation of women and men, only 13 countries in the world have achieved it. It is just a piece of information, but this realizes that we need a real sense of urgency about the leadership agenda and the political participation of women”.

The Peruvian Congresswoman Tania Pariona said: “For many decades, indigenous women have been politically marginalized, our rights hijacked and recognized in citizenship mediated by others. Today we are working to change that scenario."

Rita Claverie Díaz de Sciolli, President of the Permanent Council and Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the OAS, also remarked: “This Summit is an opportunity to recognize ourselves in diversity and at the same time under a common identity, we are women who are taking find steps to break into spaces of power. We must work to make policies and agendas more inclusive.”
