The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) decides to lift these precautionary measures in favor of Abu-Ali Abdur' Rahman, Virgilio Maldonado Rodríguez, Iván Teleguz, and Héctor Rolando Medina in the United States. Having analyzed the information available, the IACHR considered that there are no sufficient elements to continue identifying compliance with the requirements of Article 25 of the Rules of Procedure. In its assessment, the IACHR observed that commutations of the death penalty represent a significant change in the factual circumstances that motivated the granting of precautionary measures at the time.
