The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) decided to lift these precautionary measures in favor of Mr. Jorge Ernesto López Zea, in Colombia. At the time of making this decision, the Commission observes that the beneficiary’s situation has changed significantly as he is no longer deprived of his liberty. After evaluating the information received by the parties in the framework of analyzing whether the precautionary measures should remain in force, the IACHR considered that they should be lifted in accordance with the terms of Article 25 of its Rules of Procedure.
