The thirtieth Inter-American Meeting of Electoral Management Bodies was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on November 7 to 9, 2018. During the three days of the meeting representatives of electoral management bodies shared and evaluated various experiences related to the following topics:

• "Beyond the glass ceiling: Challenges for the effective political participation of women"
• “Regulating the Media: Models for Equal Access”
• “To regulate or not to regulate? Challenges in establishing electoral campaign spending limits”
• “Opinion polls in electoral processes: a picture of the present or a picture of the future?”

Four panels and a conversation about "Social Networks: How to guarantee data privacy and freedom of expression while tackling misinformation?" allowed participants to discuss achievements, trends and concerns in the topics.
