The tenth edition of the OAS Cybersecurity Symposium, organized by the OAS-CICTE Cybersecurity Program, will take place on October 1-2, 2024. This event is aimed at cybersecurity professionals, decision makers and cybersecurity incident specialists, and seeks to provide training and information exchange, as well as raise awareness about cybersecurity in the region, with a special focus on disruptive technologies. The Symposium will feature leading cybersecurity experts from the public and private sectors, universities and representatives of other international organizations, and will offer participants the opportunity to network with other cybersecurity experts and leaders.

Meanwhile, RICET, the Regional Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and Training, will be held on October 3, 2024. This initiative is a collaborative effort to build and strengthen the foundations of cybersecurity education, training, and workforce development in the Americas. This event provides an opportunity for community members and thought leaders from the education, government, industry, and nonprofit sectors to explore ways to develop a curriculum for the current and future cybersecurity workforce. RICET is organized by Florida International University and the OAS, in cooperation with NICE.
