The objective of the meeting is to share experiences and contributions aimed at developing a regional protocol for immediate technical assistance in the event of a cyber crisis in one of the OAS Member States.


Five representatives of Cybersecurity Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) from the CSIRTAmericas network, from the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile and Uruguay, are participating.


What results are expected?

  • Share good practices in cybersecurity to collect and document lessons learned from participating CSIRTs in the management of previous cyber crises.
  • Establish a draft protocol that includes procedures and mechanisms for immediate technical assistance in the event of a cyber incident in one of the OAS Member States.
  • Identify roles and responsibilities for the different actors involved in the response to a cyber crisis to ensure effective coordination.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities that will enable the future implementation of the protocol for immediate technical assistance in the event of a cyber incident in one of the OAS Member States.
