Objectives

- Create a national network of young leaders in open government interested in global challenges and impacts
- Generate innovative, multidisciplinary, participatory and transparent solutions in the area of sustainability

About the Fellowship
Solutions for what?
To find open data solutions to climate change problems proposed by local governments.
• To strengthen participatory processes and generate leadership.

Global Problems, Local Solutions The effects of climate change affect people, communities and businesses in their daily lives.
Participant Selection Criteria
• Young people between 25 and 40 years old.
• Knowledge of open government and interest in using open data.
• Knowledge of the challenges of climate change in Brazil.
• Demonstrated leadership in their communities and institutions.
• Applications from participants who maintain professional ties with Brazilian public institutions will be encouraged.
The OAS Fellowship Program on Open Government and Open Data, led by the OAS Department of Effective Public Management, is a pioneering initiative to strengthen democratic governance and address the most pressing challenges facing our region. Since 2015, it has trained 69 young leaders from 20 countries, promoting transparency, citizen participation, and innovation in public policies.
