CSIRTAmericas WEEK Chapter Colombia
From March 18 to 22, the CSIRTAmericas Network, part of the CICTE/OAS Secretariat's Cybersecurity program, supported by funding from the United Kingdom Government, will carry out a series of visits to CSIRTs in Colombia. The main objective of this initiative is to provide comprehensive technical training, as well as to strengthen cooperation strategies for information exchange. This ongoing collaboration reflects the ongoing commitment to support Colombia on its path to greater cyber security.
The event covers the following activities:
Visit to COCIB:
Objective: A visit will be made to COCIB (Naval Cyber Command), a member of the CSIRT of the CSIRTAmericas Network. The CSIRTAmericas team will give a talk on the optimization of the services it offers.
Participants: Members of the CSIRT and the CAN team.
Visit to ColCERT:
Objective: A visit will be made to ColCERT (Colombia Cyber Emergency Response Group – ColCERT), also a member of the CSIRTAmericas Network. The CSIRTAmericas team will give a talk about the optimal use of their services.
Participants: Members of the CSIRT and the CAN team.
CSIRT Aeronautical Mentoring - CCN-CERT:
Objective: To provide mentorships for the sustainable operation of Aeronautical CSIRTs, led by CCN-CERT experts. The participants will be the members of the Aeronautical CSIRT.
Location: CSIRT Aeronautical facilities.
Participants: CSIRT members, 2 CCN experts and CAN team.
Threat Detection and Active Response to Cybersecurity Incidents:
Objective: To train a group of 38 participants, of which 34 are members of the 7 CSIRTs of Colombia that are part of the CSIRTAmericas Network, and 4 are members of the CSIRT-Presidency, invited (not member of the CAN). Training will be provided on threat detection and active response to cyber incidents.
Participants: 38 CSIRT participants, CAN team, Guayoyo experts as instructors, and 2 CCN-CERT experts as observers.
Invited to the inauguration on the 21st: Representative of the United Kingdom, Representative of the Foreign Ministry of Colombia.
Location: Hotel facilities managed by the OAS.
