This training is aimed at prosecutors, investigators, customs authorities, financial intelligence analysts, and members of agencies involved in combating illegal mining in Guyana, as well as representatives from the private sector. The main purpose of the meeting is to deepen the understanding of the authorities responsible for tackling illegal mining, addressing the dynamics of this activity, and exploring effective judicial strategies for its eradication. 

The event is conducted within the framework of the project "On the trail of illicit gold proceeds: Strengthening the fight against illegal mining finances”.
