What's Not Measured, Cannot be Improved! This certification program will train members of the CSIRTAmericas Network in Latin America and the Caribbean in the use of the SIM3 model, which is used internationally to assess the maturity of CSIRTs.

This event aims to increase regional capacity and collaboration. Participants who pass the exam will join a group of auditors to support other CSIRTs in the region. In addition, during the event, we will assess the maturity of the Colombian CSIRT-AERONAUTIC based on the new SIM3 profile being developed by CSIRTAmericas.

This profile will serve as a baseline to measure the maturity of CSIRTs throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. 

This initiative is being organized by the CSIRTAmericas Network of the Cybersecurity Section of the CICTE/OAS Secretariat in collaboration with the Open CSIRT Foundation, with the financial support of the Government of the United Kingdom.

Members of the CSIRTAmericas network in Colombia. 

Expected results: 

Training of specialized SIM3 auditors to increase technical capacity in the region.

Increased regional collaboration through a network of auditors who will be able to support other CSIRTs.
