The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Belize and Guatemala meet at the OAS Adjacency Zone Office

On Friday, April 8, 2016, the Honorable Wilfred Elrington, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belize and His Excellency Carlos Raul Morales, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala met at the OAS Office in the Belize-Guatemala Adjacency Zone to discuss the situation in the Sarstoon River as well as other pending bilateral issues. The Ministers were accompanied by their respective army Commanders, General Juan Manuel Perez Ramirez of Guatemala and General David Jones of the Belize Defense Force, as well as by their bilateral Ambassadors: His Excellency Alexis Rosado of Belize and His Excellency Estuardo Roldan of Guatemala who head the Joint Commission. The OAS was represented by the Chief of the OAS Peace Fund, Ms. Magdalena Talamas.
