Ordinary Meetings of the Executive Board of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CECIP)

The Executive Board is the organ responsible for executing the Committee’s policies and it is integrated by 15 select countries, for a two year term. Its functions are:

• To carry out the tasks assigned to it and follow-up on the decisions adopted by the Committee.
• To plan and coordinate activities taking into account the Action Plan.
• To prepare the biennial budget for the Committee.
• To prepare studies and documents and propose drafts of Inter-American and international agreements.
• To create the subcommittees and working groups as well as to determine their respective work plans.
• To establish the place and date for future meetings.

The meetings that took place are:

• Third Meeting: Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana 2001
• Fourth Meeting: Montevideo, Uruguay 2002
• Fifth Meeting: Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela 2003
• Sixth Meeting: Managua, Nicaragua 2004
• Seventh Meeting: Houston, Texas, EEUU 2005
• Eighth Meeting: Guayaquil, Ecuador 2006
• Ninth Meeting: Lima, Perú 2007
• Tenth Meeting: Buenos Aires, Argentina 2009
• Eleventh Meeting: Panama City, Panama 2010
• Twelfth Meeting: Viña del Mar, Chile 2011
